Darryl Worley is coming to town April 9th ay McMorran Theater!!! For his support of our military and contributions to their welfare, Darryl has received numerous awards including the 2003 USO Award of Merit and the 2003 VFW Americanism Award. Here are some pictures of Darryl on his journeys to visit our troops....

It is telling that Worley was quick to turn his celebrity to good purpose. In 2002, he traveled to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Uzbekistan to entertain troops, and the experience was transforming. He wrote "Have You Forgotten?" and began a series of visits here and overseas, including to Iraq, to support those who wear their country's uniform. He calls those trips "the best work I've done since I've been in this business. I've never done it for accolades or for publicity. I do it because I want to do it."

Lets Give Back, They Gave So Much To Us
On Aug. 07, 2010 - (rain day) Aug.21, 2010
Time: 10:00 am
We are again organizing an event Aug. 07,2010 to get boat owners across Lake St. Clair to take military service men and women out for fun on the water and a meal. We would like to Thank the Veterans for all that they've done for us. Lets not do it with just words but show it with our hearts and actions. I don't care what size boat you have, what matters is that you care enough to make a difference in Veterans life. Let's take them for a nice boat ride and if they would like to go swimming to the "Moot", then back to Tashmoo marina for something to eat. I'm sure we can find more veterans, and retired veterans, living around the lake who would love and appreciate a day of relaxation and fellowship.
This is all about giving back to those who have given so much for us. If you like the freedoms you have , then it's time to Thank a Veteran. Remember What is said "Freedom is not Free".
We are looking for businesses and individuals willing to be a sponsor or to help fund this outing. To volunteer your boat, sign up as a vet, volunteer your help or make a donation. Please e-mail me or Call. This is a MUST
